Convicted Rabin murderer Yigal Amir wants to marry, but Israel’s Prisons Authority has other ideas.
Amir is the quintessential “religious” hypocrite who has the external trappings of an observant Jew, but whose behavor suggests that he is the anti-thesis of what an observant Jew should be. And this marriage request reinforces the point.
Several days ago, Amir and Trimbobler informed their families they wanted to wed. The two began exchanging letters and speaking on the phone one year ago, based on Trimbobler’s ideological support for the convicted murderer. Trimbobler was married when she first met Amir, and subsequently divorced so she would be able to marry him.
In other words, Amir and this woman started corresponding while she was still married. How very Jerry Seinfeld of him.
But then again, what do you expect from a murderer?
