Terror Attack in Jerusalem

Here we go again. At least eight people killed and over 30 wounded in a suicide bombing on a bus in central Jerusalem.

According to Maariv:

Analysts say the decision to carry out the attack today was intended to voice the Palestinian’s anger over the prisoner deal, in which they feel they got short changed.

There is no pleasing them, is there? Besides, they need no excuse to murder Jews beyond their hatred for us.

Update 11.20AM: 10 killed and 45 wounded

Update 11.45AM: Seven years ago, when I took one of my law courses at Hebrew University, I lived near where the bombing took place. It is an area that has a large concentration of young anglo immigrants from places like the US, Australia, UK and South Africa. I wil not be surprised to find many anglo names on the casualty list.

Update 12:00PM: The Jerusalem Post reports:

Most of those brought to the hospital were in their early twenties.

This reinforces my gut feeling that many young anglo immigrants are amongst the casualties.

Update 2:15PM: PLO Arab security officials have said that the bomber was a member of the PA police. What a joke! The PA are always complaining that they cannot fight terror because their security forces are in disarray. Yet this attack is further proof that their security forces are complicit in terror.

Update 3:55PM: The Jerusalem Post reports that Yasser Arafat’s Fatah-linked Al Aksa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack in a call to Israel Radio. Enough is enough. It is time we captured AFatRat, put him on trial and charged him with crimes against humanity. Assuming the verdict is guilty, he should then be executed.

Update 7:00PM: The US has once again called on PA puppet leader Qureia to take steps to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure. *Yawn* Sounds like the PA’s obligation under the Road Map to me.

Update 10.55PM: The Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs web site has a video of the terror attack. Not for the faint hearted.
