The earth beneath me just moved! I must admit I got pretty scared, given the security situation here in Israel. However, everyone here is saying it was an earthquake.
Update 10:22AM: Ha’aretz are calling it a “minor Earth tremor.” Take it from me – it didn’t feel minor.
Update 10:30AM: Arutz Sheva call it a “relatively strong earthquake.”
Update 10:35AM: Ha’aretz have now changed their tune, calling it an “earthquake” that “rattled parts of Israel.”
Update 10:45AM: Israel Radio reports that it was 4.5 on the Richter scale.
Update 11:00AM: Arutz Sheva report that some telephone networks have been knocked out, and that there have been uncomfirmed reports of collapsed buildings.
Update 11:10AM: Over 5 on the Richter?
Updated 11:20AM: Arutz Sheva reports that “cracks were reported to have formed in the Knesset building.” I have heard of people predicting that the government will topple, but I did not think they meant it in this way.
Update 11:30AM: Some feel that we may not be prepared for a huge earthquake.
