I just received this email, which should reinforce to us that whether The Passion is anti-Semitic or not, it should not make a difference to the views of those decent Catholics out there.

Dear Israelly cool,

Discovered your blog by searching “Israel blogs.” It’s one the best I’ve seen. Just the right balance of serious discussion with up-to-date punditry.

If you don’t mind, I’d like to link to it on my site www.catholicfriendsofisrael.com

It’s tough getting good Israel news and opinion to Catholics in the US.

Many bury their heads in the sand; others are influenced by the pro-Palestinian bias coming from so many priests. However, most American Catholics (I believe) are sympathetic to Israel. Whether that makes them more

American than Catholic I cannot say.

Our head Bishop, Wilton Gregory, was recently in your neck of the

woods. I criticized him and others on FrontPageMag.com.

Again, great blog. I look forward to reading it regularly.

Thank you for the letter, Don. Consider yourself linked.

We really appreciate the support that a majority of the Christian community provides to Israel. You recognize that our war is also your war, and the war of all decent, moral people.
