I think I have solved the loading speed problem with this blog. Let me know if you also detect a huge improvement.
Update: I removed the news ticker, even though it does not seem to have been the culprit. Do you think that it added to the site, or merely cluttered up the screen? Unless I receive requests to bring it back, I will leave it off the site.
Update: Another improvement: Blogfather Gary has helped me change the extended entries. Now, for long entries, when you click on “Show me more, mate”, the rest of the text appears, which you can then hide by clicking on “Please hide the extra text”.
