The euphoria of last night’s basketball victory has been overshadowed by yet another terror attack, which killed a woman and three four children.
Today also happens to be the day of the Likud referendum on Ariel Sharon’s disengagement plan.
Coincidence? I think not.
Look at recent Israeli history..you will be hard pressed to find a critical day, such as Israeli elections, where the terrorists have not at least attempted to strike. What do I make of this?
In my opinion, Afatrat and his cronies orchestrate and authorize more terror attacks whenever Israel’s government make concessions. This sounds like the exact opposite of what the PA should want to happen, but it makes sense when you realize that Afatrat and the PA do not actually want peace. They want to force an international solution on Israel, knowing full well that they can gain more this way. So if a more Left-wing government looks like being elected – WHAM! The PLO Arabs launch a terror campaign, and Likud gets voted in. Then Afatrat can count on harsh Israeli reprisals and more international condemnation raining down on Israel.
The same can be said for Sharon’s disengagement plan, which has already been approved by US president Bush, British Prime Minister Blair, and other world leaders. Afatrat knows that if it is approved by Likud and Israel goes through with it, he will be under increased pressure to act against terror. He would prefer the plan to be rejected – he could then point to Israel and say “See, they don’t want peace. We need international monitors.”
With recent polls suggesting that the plan will be rejected, today’s terror attack may just make this result a formality. But only time will tell.

The young mother was in her 6th month of pregnancy… Arafat actually murdered a mother and her 5 children.
