Nasser al-Kidwa, who has the dubious distinction of being both Yasser Arafat’s nephew, as well as the only ambassador to the United Nations who represents an entity that is neither a state nor country, has predictably blamed Israel for his uncle’s death.
Yasser Arafat’s medical records show no sign he was poisoned but are inconclusive as to the cause of his death, his nephew said Monday. At a news conference in Paris, Nasser al-Kidwa pinned some of the blame for the Palestinian leader’s death on his long confinement to his West Bank compound.“I believe the Israeli authorities are largely responsible for what happened,” he said shortly after taking possession of the medical files from French authorities.
But Al-Kidwa does not stop there, instead preferring to insinuate that uncle Yassy was poisoned (despite the medical report ruling out poisons).
Al-Kidwa said toxicology tests were conducted but “no poisons known to doctors were found.” But he did not rule out poisoning categorically, saying “we don’t have proof” it wasn’t a cause.
Ahh, how very clever. The report states “no poisons known to doctors were found,” rather than “no poisons were found,” enabling aspiring lawyer Al-Kidwa to suggest that perhaps some surreptitious poison avoided the detection of the French doctors. And when Al-Kidwa suggests that poisons may have killed uncle Yassy, you can bet he is pointing the finger at a particular party (clue: otherwise known as those murderous, thieving Zionists).
Al-Kidwa even manages to sound like a lawyer.
“I am not asserting anything but we are not in a position to exclude anything given the facts,” said al-Kidwa.
Thanks for clearing that up.
Well, two can play this game. I contend that Arafat died of AIDS for the following reasons:
1. He has been documented playing with members of the same sex for far longer than he was confined to the Muqata.
2. It would explain the secrecy behind his illness. News of AIDS being the cause of death might not go down too well in the homophobic PA-controlled territories.
3. The medical report stated “no poisons known to doctors were found.” This does not preclude the existence of a strain of AIDS virus not known to the French doctors.
