The rules of even-handedness (read: moral equivocation) dictate that one mentions “extremists on both sides.” Invariably, this means the terrorists (commonly called “militants” or “resistance fighters”) on the PLO Arab side, and the “settlers” on the Israeli side.
While I do not always agree with the settlement movement’s methods, there is no doubt they are unfairly demonized. Placing them on the same moral level as the PLO Arab terrorist is simply ridiculous. Yet countless people do make such comparisons.
I will debunk such comparisons on another day. In the meantime, allow me to leave you with these two photos from the media today. One shows the PLO Arab “extremists”, and the other the Jewish “extremists.” These pictures speak volumes.
