Meet Angry White Kid (‘AWK’), a blogger who is not too fond of Israel, and is willing to go to great lengths to paint Israel in a bad light.
For instance, AWK points his readers to the terrible racism rampant in Israel.
In other news, Haaretz ran an interesting article about the racism faced by African Jews living in Israel.Many Ethiopians in their 20s and 30s, who were born in Israel or immigrated at a young age, admit that although they passed the military “melting pot” they still feel different and unwanted in Israelis’ hangouts and prefer to hang out in their own places. For many, going to black clubs is not in defiance or rebellion, as is often portrayed in the Israeli media, but because they are forbidden from going to “Israeli” clubs and not allowed to fit in. However, most of them admit that Ethiopian teenagers today have given up the attempt to belong and go to places for “Ethiopians only.”
What AWK fails to address is the fact that Israel is perhaps the only nation in the entire world that actively brought out Ethiopians from their drought-stricken lands, to live in much better conditions. Certainly no Arab or Muslim country extended the same courtesy to the Ethiopians. (Heck, the Arab countries won’t even take in PLO Arab refugees living in refugee camps for over fifty years).
