Filming for O Jerusalem, a new film based on a book about the creation of the State of Israel, and starring Winona Ryder, is set to begin April 10..in Greece* (hat tip: Harry).
On one hand, many Israelis will be disappointed that the movie will not be filmed in Israel. On the other hand, many Israeli shopkeepers will be more than happy.
* This isn’t the first time that Greece or Greeks have been used to impersonate Israel/Israelis. A Greek actress played the part of an Israeli policewoman in the classic Jean-Claude Van Damme movie The Order (which was actually shot in Israel).
