Ok, so I know 24 is only a television show (the best one, at that), and that Kiefer Sutherland is not really Jack Bauer (but just plays him on television). However, I must admit that I felt pangs of joy last night during a Sutherland interview with Israeli television, when he told the interviewer that his mother’s sister, and two cousins live in Israel, and his sister lived here for a while on Kibbutz.
The bad news? He didn’t seem too optimistic about the prospect of any episodes of 24 being shot here.
Update: Doing a bit of detective work with my trusty sidekick Mr Google, I was not able to determine whether Sutherland’s mother is Jewish. But I did discover that she is a very vocal Leftie, who in the past has supported the Black Panthers, and opposed the Vietnam War. No word yet on whether she supports the PLO Arabs.
