Besides the obvious point about the IDF soldier doing the humanitarian thing, a number of other points should be noted:
The word “lynching” takes me back to this. In that case, the PA police did nothing to protect the Israelis. In fact, some of the police actually took part in the lynch.
Most Israelis – including myself – are outright disgusted at this incident (assuming the facts are as presented by the media). Any attacks on an innocent person are unacceptable. I only wish I had heard similar voices coming from the PLO Arab side after the Ramallah lynchings.
Regarding the word “lynch”, I don’t recall the media using this word every time PLO Arabs throw stones at “settlers,” with the intent of injuring or killing them.
