The Kick Him While He’s Down Award
…goes to Likud leadership candidate Moshe Feiglin.
Likud-leadership candidate Moshe Feiglin wished Prime Minister Ariel Sharon a long and healthy life on Sunday night, following the prime minister’s mild stroke.Feiglin tempered his wishes, however, by adding that the Sharon’s “long life” should be outside of the influential and leadership circles.
The Cynical Attempt to Get Votes Award
…goes to Likud leadership candidate Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu.
Knesset member Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem Monday morning and said that he was praying for the prime minister’s well being.
He also is the runner-up for the aforementioned Kick Him While He’s Down Award, with this dig at the ailing Prime Minister:
“However, the important thing is the state’s health, which is not good,” Netanyahu added.
The Begging for a Dr Evil Related Joke Award
…goes to Justice Minister Tzipi Livni.
Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, who, together with Olmert, is considered a senior figure in Kadima, said she wants to be “number two” on the party’s list but places more importance on the promotion of issues she considers important.
