In the blogging equivalent of blowing raspberries, Aussie uber blogger Tim Blair has reacted to warnings threats from Sheik Fehmi El-Imam (the general secretary of the Board of Imams of Victoria) that publishing the Mohammed cartoons in Australia could “disturb people who can do things that we don’t want them to do” by..publishing the Mohammed cartoons.
Actually, I tend to view these people as already disturbed, but I digress..
This simple act of blogger defiance – praiseworthy, but certainly not unprecedented in the blogosphere – has earned Tim a headline on The Age, as well as affiliated site The Sydney Morning Herald, leading to this story.

Yet the mainstream media have decided not to publish the cartoons themselves. Funny, because they have had no trouble in the past publishing cartoons offensive to some of the other mainstream religions – religions whose practioners tend to eschew violence.
I think this should tell you something about the mainstream media’s hypocrisy. Not to mention the size of their gonads.
