Those of you who were horrified by reports that Paris Hilton might be playing Mother Teresa in an upcoming film, should fear not! Ms Hilton explains why it won’t happen:

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton has slammed media reports she will play Mother Teresa in an upcoming film, insisting that the two look nothing alike.Indian film-maker T Rajeevnath has said the 25-year-old socialite is on his short list of actresses to play the Nobel Prize winner.

The director believes the two share a “facial resemblance” and claims to be meeting with the Hilton later this month April about the role.

Speaking about the rumour, Hilton says, “I heard that. I don’t think we look alike.”

I would have thought the fact that Hilton can’t act was more of an impediment.

Update: This from The Mercury News:

Mother Teresa died in 1997, after decades of working with the poor people of Kolkata, formerly Calcutta, with the Missionaries of Charity.

She was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 2003, a significant step on the road to sainthood.

As of Tuesday, the current pope had not beatified Paris Hilton.
