On the terror front..

  • Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh has told

Haaretz that his Hamas government is prepared to agree to an

extended cease-fire if Israel withdraws to the 1967 lines. Hmm…we give up land we captured from the Arabs in a war they imposed on us, and they give us their word they will put their whole destruction of Israel thing on hold for a while. Yeah! Let’s go for it!

  • Meanwhile, Haniyeh insists that his people will not descend into civil war. And anyone who disagrees with him will be shot on the spot.
  • Israel has captured the Ramallah-area commander of Hamas’ military wing, Israel’s most wanted man in the West Bank, allegedly responsible for killing 55 Israelis and wounding hundreds. Let the AP photo orgy begin!
  • Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah has warned Israel that it will answer any attack on its territory by firing thousands of rockets on all parts of northern Israel. I guess these are in addition to the rockets they are already firing at us, even though we don’t attack them.
  • An Islamic Jihad commander has complained that a Shin Bet decision to forbid him from marrying an Arab Israeli woman “fosters great hatred and enmity within me towards [Israelis].” I guess this is in addition to the great hatred and enmity already within him, which motivated him to join the Islamic Jihad to begin with.
  • On the domestic front..

  • Israeli’s Public Security Minister Avi Dichter has stated that Police Commissioner Moshe Karadi and other senior police officials who received a letter of warning for their alleged ties to a well-know crime family will not be suspended from their posts (not meant in the palestinian justice sense of these words).
  • Amnesty International has slammed Israel in its latest report. Blah blah blah blah blah..
