Israeli News Briefs

  • No surprises here: The Lebanese have confirmed the flow of arms to Hizbullah from Syria. The question is: With this flow of arms, will heads roll?
  • Israeli Defence Minister/Socialist Amir Peretz has slammed a generous offer by Israeli tycoon Arcadi Gaydamak to pay for hundreds of Sderot residents to drive to Eilat far away from the threat of Kassams, saying “The state of Israel does not allow rich men and philanthropists to gain control from the distress of citizens.” In other words: better that the residents remain in Sderot and face the risk of being killed by a Kassam, than accept money from a capitalist swine.
  • Meanwhile, the terrorists are saying Peretz does not scare them. He sure as hell scares me.
  • Dhimmi Carter could be heading a probe into the Beit Hanoun deaths. I’m sorry, but there’s only one kind of probe with which Carter’s name should be mentioned.
  • A Jewish Abdul: Singer, dancer, and American Idol judge, Paula Abdul confesses her Judaism and accepts an offer by Tourism Minister Isaac Herzog to visit Israel during Hanukkah. Crying and hugging ensues.
