This week’s bombings in Algeria and Morocco have elicited the following response from Ahmad Bahar, Hamas member and deputy speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC):
The deputy speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC), Ahmad Bahar, has condemned the bombings that occurred in the last couple of days in Algeria and Morocco. He called on the Arab and Islamic nations to seek dialogue and understanding away from violence and reach national accords.
In a statement, Bahar said, “We are calling on them to understand the prohibition of bloodshed.”
He condemned the incidents in the name of the PLC. He described the incidents as illogical and lacking in values. Bahar called on the Islamic groups in the Arab and Islamic world to review their methods and style of work. He urged them to deal with their governments in order to avoid what he called “outside intervention” in the affairs of “our nation”.
Hamas man speak with forked tongue.
Dr. AHMED BAHAR* (Hamas member): (Through translator) The al-Qassem Brigades will not be disarmed as we’re resisting occupation. We hope to unite all of the armed factions together with the established security forces to create one army to defend Palestine.
