You have to hand it to the palestinians. They never cease to find new ways to insult our intelligence.
Undersecretary of the Palestinian foreign ministry, Dr Ahmad Subih, said on Wednesday that the ministry accepted the retirement request of 12 Palestinian ambassadors to several countries. He denied reports that the ambassadors were dismissed.
Subih told Ma’an, “The retired ministers have reached the legal retirement age according to Palestinian diplomatic law and so what happened was a natural process, which meant honoring and appreciating the ambassadors rather than dismissing them.”
The undersecretary added, “These measures are part of future plans, which include swapping ambassadors from one country to another after they have spent four years in diplomatic work.”
The Palestinian official refused to name the countries from which the ambassadors retired.
But of course.
However, the real mystery is how they have ambassadors to begin with, given that they don’t have a state.
