The Fatah security forces training has come under criticism from one of their own.

Fatah Central Committee member and former head of the Palestinian General Intelligence Major General Tawfiq At-Tirawi criticized Wednesday what he called the exorbitant costs of training officers abroad.

Currently head of the Board of Trustees at the Palestinian Academy for Security Sciences in Jericho, At-Tirawi said training one brigade of security personnel abroad costs the government up to $10 million, while training the men at home would cost a fraction of that amount, which he estimated at $300,000.

True, but would that ensure flaming rings and dabbling in the chicken dance arts?
