Here is a totally awesome video of an emergency landing of a burning F-15 after it hits a flock of birds.
Pay particular attention to the crew debating whether they hit pelicans or storks: because when you’re trying to land your fighter jet with flames pouring out of both engines it really matters. It’s also heartwarming to hear how the pilot greets the navigator’s cheering acknowledgement that they finally do have 3 wheels with a simple “Great”.
