This week, a massive billboard of Israeli-American actress Natalie Portman, went up in Beirut, to promote Dior cosmetics.

Needless to say, some were not too happy about it.

In line with the “occupation” demonization campaign against Israel, a blogger at Now Lebanon wrote:

Portman, who was born in Jerusalem and whose real last name is Hershlag, has spoken at length about her love for her home country and how she wants to move back there once there is peace. She is very active in Zionist groups, though she is also a human rights activist—as long as those humans aren’t Palestinians.

(If you clicked on the link, you’ll notice it now takes you here. I assume that’s because of the barrage of comments attacking the blogger for posting such drivel).

Interestingly enough, it seems the occupation has been going on for a while. Back in June of last year, this blogger noticed the following billboard in Beirut:

So I’m not sure why they are only now complaining.

Then again, their hatred for us ain’t that logical either.
