The weather was lousy, cold and windy, and threatening to rain,

but that could not stop Israelis from seriously grilling meat.

I love how this family really got into the blue and white theme of the day.

There were a lot fewer people in the park this year because of the weather,

but that didn’t stop these folks from having a traditional holiday foam fight.

She wanted her photo taken enough to stop and pose at what was quite a party.

But my absolute favorite moment had to be when an Israeli family stopped me when

they saw me take this photograph and asked me to take their photo.

Would it be published in the Jerusalem Post, they asked?

So as promised, here they are!  Sorry, but I was laughing so hard on of the way home

that I forgot all their names.

What a great way to end a day celebrating Israel 65.
