A few days ago, I posted about the plethora of celebrities currently in Israel. And judging by the following tweets, they are still having a blast here.

American actor John Malkovich arrived in Israel on Tuesday, and will perform on stage in Tel Aviv and Eilat this week.

Malkovich has appeared in some 80 movies and television shows since 1978, as well as several Broadway productions. He is in Israel to recreate his critically acclaimed lead role in the musical-drama “The Infernal Comedy — Confessions of a Serial Killer.” The performance on Wednesday will be at the Felicja Blumental International Music Festival in Tel Aviv and on Thursday at the Eilat Chamber Music Festival.

The production is a cross between a Baroque opera and a crime drama, in which Malkovich plays real-life Austrian serial killer Jack Unterweger, who returns from the grave to share his life story.

This is Malkovich’s second visit to Israel and his first performance. He was the guest of honor at the Jerusalem Film Festival in 2008.

Thanks to the Dan Hotels where Malkovich is staying for the heads up.
