As the media is pounding war drums concerning Syria,
I decided to post a few photos taken on a trip north two years ago.
If you have never been to the Israel-Syria border,
you may find these photos a bit shocking.
This was the view of Syria from the Israeli side of the border.
Those little white signs on poles and wire was the border security fence.
The numbers on yellow stickers on these signs are distances from Israeli border.
Damascus is 60 kilometers away,
the Prime Minister’s office is 243 kilometers away,
while Washington, D.C is a distance of 11,000 kilometers.
On a clear day one can easily see Syria from Israel.
The problem is what does Washington see?
