Here on Israellycool, we have already seen some amazingly pro-Israel US senators staunchly and articulately defending Israel. Senators like Marco Rubio and Cory Booker.
You can add to the list Senator Ted Cruz, who was a keynote speaker at a Washington summit hosted by In Defense of Christians, a group that supposedly focuses on persecuted Christian and minority communities in the Middle East.
However, after Ted made some pro-Israel comments, he was booed by many in the audience, prompting this response.
According to several reports and a video taken by EWTN News and obtained The Daily Caller, Cruz upset many in the crowd by offering strong support for Israel, saying at one point: “Christians have no greater ally than Israel” – a comment that drew boos.
In a subsequent statement to Breitbart News, Cruz said the crowd showed “a shameful display of bigotry and hatred.”
The video appears to catch the moments just before Cruz left the stage.
Cruz subsequently posted the following to Facebook.
Ted Cruz, thank you for your support, and we here in Israel stand with you and your fellow Americans as you commemorate September 11.
Update: I forgot Ted was already on the list.
