In stark contrast to Hamas’s claims of victory, the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Egypt’s Al-Ahram News, Ashraf Abu Al-Houl, says on Egyptian television that nothing was accomplished by Hamas in this summer’s war, and calls it a “shameful loss.” He then goes on to criticize Hamas for rejecting the Egyptian ceasefire proposal after six days of fighting.
