WATCH: Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gets Ballsy

We already saw Israel Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu shock and awe the world with his (accurate) No Jews video. Now Israel’s MFA are set to do the same with their latest video, which also tells some home truths.

I welcome this but I fear it may be too little too late.

For years, Israel seemed to passively allow the lie that we Jews came back and took over the house of the palestinian Arabs to prosper. Israel even agreed, in principle, to give back many of its rooms. Now Israel is changing the conversation with what I believe are the right talking points.

The question is, can we now undo the damage of years of not acknowledging the truth about our rights to this land?

  1. I think the focus needs to be on those particular 19 years and how it is that those particular areas became Jew-free, not coincidentally just for those 19 years. It’s during those 19 years, that the Arabs demonstrated that when they “reclaim” the land, it means ethnic cleansing of Jews. They didn’t even move their own people in, in most cases, just as long as it was free of Jews. It’s not so much that Israel admitted that we took over the house of Palestinian Arabs (although Israel did that when they put the offer of paying compensation on the table), as that Israel conceded that if we left any Jews in Palestinian ruled areas, they would be, you know, murdered. Gaza is also an important lesson: On the one hand, with Gaza, Israel demonstrated that they agree with the Palestinian Arabs’ formula – giving up land to Arabs means cleaning the house (of Jews) first. You know, doing the ethnic cleansing for them. On the other hand, the Palestinian Arabs reciprocated the only way they know how, by continuing to try to murder Jews.

  2. Good video, makes a great point with humor, which I find an effective way to communicate with those who are not so intensely interested in Israel. I only wish there were more Jews like you, Dave, defending Israel, instead of Jews like Max Blumenthal, Richard Silverstein, Rabbi Weiss, Yaakov Shapiro of True Torah Jews and others actively trying to de-legitamize Israel each and every day. What are us gentiles to think?

      1. As a goy, I certainly am not qualified to weigh in on who is and who is not upholding authentically Jewish values. But it’s clear that self-identified Jews have widely different views on who is and isn’t authentically Jewish. Instead of assigning labels, I would prefer to argue the strong case for Israel as the national homeland for the Jewish people.
