Thus were lead singer Jon Bon Jovi’s first words to the adoring 50,000+ Israeli fans, two songs in to last night’s Tel Aviv concert.
Disclaimer: I was unfortunately not there, but the reactions from those who did attend were unanimously positive (as you’d expect).
According to this review
We were impressed before the concert even began, remembering the band’s fantastic 2015 performance, during which Jon voiced his support and love for the country…Bon Jovi clearly meant what he said, reminding the crowd that he dedicated “We Don’t Run” to the people of Israel in 2015.
Update: The JPost now reports:
About halfway through the concert, Bon Jovi sang, “We Don’t Run”, which he reminded the crowd that he dedicated to Israel when it came out in 2015.
“This one is for the incredible people of Israel, for their strength, for their love, this one is for them,” he said.
Thankfully, we live in an age where you don’t necessarily have to attend a concert to get a sense of the performances and vibe.
Don’t thank me…thank those who uploaded these videos!
And thank you Jon and band for showing us the love and keeping Roger Waters et al. up at night.
