I thought this was an amazing message to take into Yom Kippur – a message of respecting each other and our differences. After all, I have long been a huge fan of these words immortalized by Bill and Ted
How could anyone argue with such a message, I thought?
After Yom Kippur, I was confronted with the answer to this question.
Plenty.
And they are all so-called, phony “liberals.”
And, invariably, Israel haters.
Like the Incredible Dolt Mark Ruffalo
And it makes a lot of sense.
These people, who claim to be against oppression and for peace, are anything but.
They are the ones against conciliation.
They are the ones against tolerance and respect.
They are the ones against free speech.
They are for rewarding the weak over the strong, even if the weak are weak because of their own actions and deficiencies.
They are for conflict and, ultimately, victory of evil over good.
It is a depressing thought, but one we have to face.
