The "what's your hometown famous for" tweets have reminded me of something wonderful that happened in Israel.
I was at a big dinner with lots of students from the university, one asked me where I was from in England.

After much, much confusion, he used his phone to translate the Hebrew word he wanted and triumphantly declared:
“THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTTINGHAM!”

I didn’t have the heart to correct him so I just went along with it. He must have thought I was really dim to be from the hometown of the hunchback and not recognise his Quasimodo impression
