Longtime readers may remember how back in December 2011, anti-Israel DouchebloggerTM Richard Silverstein doxxed me – that is, he publicly broadcast my private information, which I kept deliberately hidden due to threats on my life and livelihood. He did so right after an earlier failed attempt, in which I had deliberately fed him false information in order to show how he does not do any due diligence or minimal fact checking in his efforts to demonize.
What followed is history; many more death threats, attempts over the years to have me fired from my day job (based on libels including I hack people’s websites), and also libeling my late wife.
One of the really troubling things I noted after Silverstein’s first failed attempt to doxx me was the reaction of Jillian York, a “free-expression activist”, and the Director of International Freedom of Expression at the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), which supposedly supports online anonymity
“has been involved in the fight to protect the rights of anonymous speakers online. As one court observed in a case handled by EFF along with the ACLU of Washington “[T]he free exchange of ideas on the Internet is driven in large part by the ability of Internet users to communicate anonymously.”
Given this, she should have condemned him for trying to “out me” just because he hates what I write. Instead she actually egged him on:
The reason I bring this all up is I mentioned York’s reaction today on Twitter, in response to another Israel advocate online, who prefers to be anonymous for good reason, yet was also doxxed (more on this in an upcoming post)
And even though York has me blocked on Twitter, she responded – and then deleted her response. Yet unbeknownst to her, I use Hootsuite, which keeps showing deleted tweets until you refresh the page (which I didn’t). Here’s her deleted tweet
I have no idea to who she is referring, but it really doesn’t matter. Here, York does not deny she was egging Silverstein on in his pursuit to publicize my true identity. She justifies it on the basis of the actions of some “buddy of mine” (I suspect York really hates me since she is a vehement Israel-hater)
This is an absolute disgrace from a so-called free speech and online anonymity advocate. So I am now exercising my right to free speech (no longer anonymously) to let everyone know how Jillian York is a fraud.
