Yesterday I posted about the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) reposting the list of approximately 1,000 Irish has-beens and never-weres who signed their boycott pledge – over the course of a decade.
It turns out the list is even more pathetic than I first realized.
For a start, these ten signatories have since passed away – yet are still listed to “bloat” the numbers:
- John Arden († March 2012) – Playwright, novelist
- Michael Cullen († July 2020) – Painter
- Martin A. Egan († November 2015) – Musician
- Brian King – († April 2017) Sculptor
- Thom Moore († March 2018)- Songwriter, writer/translator
- Janet Mullarney († April 2020) – Visual artist
- Eamonn O’Doherty († August 2011) – Architect, sculptor
- Michael Smith († November 2014) – Poet and translator
- Philip Casey – Poet, Novelist († February 2018)
- Bob Kavanagh († December 2019) – Musician (The Jollars)
Then there’s the fact Fatin Al Tamimi* – the IPSC Chairperson – listed herself in a further attempt to “bloat” the list. As a photographer.
Which she isn’t. She only does it as a hobby.
How do you relax & de-stress at the end of the day and during difficult periods?
To go home and cook a meal for my family and just chill with them is a de-stress remedy. Going for a long walk on Sundays in the park with my husband and having a cappuccino by the lake in the Phoenix Park is a weekly indulgence.
I also love to unwind by reading poetry and carrying out my hobby of taking photos.
Here are some examples of her photography:
You get the idea.
It is quite impressive how these Israel-haters never seem to fail to fail.

*I suspect she is related to the infamous Tamimi clan, of which “Shirley Temper” and her terrorist cousin Ahlam are part.
