Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign’s Lame Gloat Ahead of International Holocaust Remembrance Day

The Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) have continued in the fine tradition* of Israel-haters everywhere, gloating about how successful their BDS efforts have been.

They are so tickled pink that their Irish artists pledge has reached 1,000 signatories, they just felt they had to share it with everyone.

The tweet links to this statement.

As you can see, this boycott pledge was first launched in August 2010.

In other words, it has taken the IPSC over a decade to obtain 1,000 signatures from a bunch of mostly obscure Irish “artists.”

A decade is a long time. It is about the same amount of time Stephen Rea – one of the only names on the list I actually recognized – has been in any movie of note.

So why would the IPSC see it fit to tweet this hardly impressive news out now?

Perhaps the fact it is right before International Holocaust Remembrance Day (today) is a coincidence, perhaps not. Even if it is, it at best shows just how insensitive to Jewish suffering the f*** of the Irish are.

Thankfully, there are plenty of great Irish people who stand for what is right and good.
