A few days ago, Israel’s state news channel Kan broadcast an interview with Taliban spokeshit Suhail Shaheen.

This interview took many people by surprise, given the Taliban’s not-exactly-subtle antipathy towards the Jewish state.
It turns out he had no idea he was speaking with an Israeli journalist – at least that is what he is claiming.
However, unlike Hamas or Iran, he just acknowledged our existence by referring to us as “Israel” and not “the Zionist entity” or some other commonly-used euphemism.
It’s enough to wipe the smug look off Ismail Haniyeh’s face.
Update: Oops!
Roi said he worked for Kan. The Taliban spox could have taken two seconds to check where the channel was from. He didn't deceive anyone.
