U.S. Customs and Border Protection Website Corrects “Palestine” Error

A few days ago, I posted how the U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported on the seizure of almost $100,000 from a family headed towards the palestinian-controlled terrritories. One of the things I noted about the report was how it referred to “Palestine”, rather than “palestinian-controlled territories ” or the like, which was odd given the US government does not currently recognize a palestinian state.

I am not sure whether it was my post, anyone who contacted them as a result of my post, or some other reason, but the U.S Customs and Border Protection website have deleted the original report and have now replaced it with one that more accurately refers to “palestinian territories.”

A small victory for truth to be sure, but a victory nonetheless.
