Haters Applaud ‘Miss Greece’ Rafaela Plastira For Boycotting Miss Universe. Miss Greece Organization Denies She Was Ever Their Representative!

After a number of lies regarding other contestants supposedly boycotting Miss Universe in Israel, the haters seem to have finally got their woman: Miss Greece Rafaela Plastira.

Or did they?

True, last month Plastira announced her withdrawal due to Israel Derangement Syndrome (accompanied by a photo of her in a swimsuit, but of course):

This was after she had already indicated her intention to represent Greece at the contest, but before Eilat was announced as the venue:

But something seemed off.

For a start, she does not appear on the Facebook page of Star GS Hellas Organization, who selects Miss Greece for the competition. Then there’s the fact the Greek media does not seem to have mentioned her withdrawal at all. This would indicate either that she is lying, or that Star GS Hellas privately promised her that she would be their representative, but then selected someone else.

So I contacted Star Hellas and received this response:

Rafaela plastira does not belong to our organization. Sofia Arapogianni is the official MISS UNIVERSE GREECE 2021. Rafaela Plastira never has been Miss Universe for Greece. She called herself by her own. We don’t know her, she belongs to another organization. The rights for Miss Universe Greece belong to GS HELLAS.

So there you have it, folks. Yet another lie from the Israel-haters.

Update: Plastira seems to be – dare I say it – a drama queen:

Greece’s Miss Hellas 2019, Rafaela Plastira, told reporters she was viciously attacked by Miss Australia during rehearsals for the Miss World contest, resulting in injuries.

The 20-year-old model from Trikala is currently in London and will represent Greece in the Miss World Pageant on Saturday, December 14, however, Plastira says she was forced to withdraw from certain competition activities this week after the attack left her with a sprained ankle.

As reported by Espresso gr, Miss Star Hellas 2019 was attacked by Miss Australia Sarah Marschke on Saturday while they were leaving an official gathering.

“We were coming back from an event and as I was getting off the bus Miss Australia was behind me and she pushed me with force. I fell and sprained my ankle. For two days I was in a wheelchair and I was unable to walk,” said Plastira.

“I’m still with gauze on my foot. The girl who assaulted me claims that it was a mistake and that it was an accident, but she pushed me on purpose. From the beginning Miss Australia was very rude and hostile towards me,” added Miss Hellas.

I’m having my doubts about this story too now.

Update: Plastira has left the following message on Stop Antisemitism’s Instagram:

Sounds like she is doubling down yet hardly denying that Miss Universe is run by Star Hellas.
