The Miss Universe contest being held in Israel seems to have really triggered the haters, who are going to ridiculous lengths to spread lies and hate. A recent example of this is the below tweet by Aliya Hasan, a Jew-hater I have featured on here before:
This is a photo of former Doron Matalon, Miss Universe Israel 2014, rehearsing on stage. And she was not alone in wearing jeans and casual wear.
In any even the idea that what they are wearing at the contest – let alone rehearsals – somehow reflects their culture, is patently ridiculous. This is a contest where they wear swimsuits for crying out loud!
Besides, two can play this game.
By the way, the thobe is an Arab thing, not distinctly palestinian. So every time the Aliya Hasan’s of the world somehow try to use it to display “palestinian culture”, they are essentially emphasizing the fact that the palestinians are Arabs who happened to live in this region, rather than being some distinct ethnic identity.
