Syrian-British journalist and world renowned expert on antisemitism Richard Medhurst would like everyone to know that Emma Watson is not an antisemite.
Do you know what is antisemitic, though?
Taking the misguided words of one Jewish Israeli – who was roundly criticized by numerous other Jewish Israelis (like yours truly) – and suggesting that all Jewish Israelis act this way. Like Medhurst does in this video.
As is retweeting the antisemitic Quds News Network, who suggest the words of the same one Jewish Israeli were part of a smear campaign by “Israel lobbies”:

As is denying Jewish origins in the Middle East, suggesting we come from “Poland” and “the United States.”
As is working for the wildly antisemitic, Iranian-controlled Press TV
As for the tired “Arabs are semites too” retort, the word “anti-Semitism” was coined in 1879 by the German agitator Wilhelm Marr to designate the anti-Jewish campaigns under way in central Europe at that time. It is specifically describing hostility toward or discrimination against Jews as a religious or racial group. By countering with this retort, the Richard Medhurst’s of the world are trivializing Jew-hate.
Funny how the non-Jewish Medhurst would dare lecture a Jew about what is and what isn’t antisemitic:
