Israel-hater James Zogby, the founder and president of the Arab American Institute, is one of those who can’t resist connecting Ukranian fighters to palestinian Arab terrorists:
As you know, the word “but” pretty much disqualifies everything before it. So it is nonsensical for Zogby to claim to be an advocate for “non-violent resistance” while at the same time questioning why palestinians engaged in violence are not seen in the same light as Ukrainians fighting for their lives against the Russians.
Note his exact wording:
I’ve always advocated non-violent mass resistance, but why are Ukrainians wielding Molotov Cocktails seen as heroes while this week Israeli forces shot dead a 14 yr old boy (they called him a terrorist) for throwing one at settlers who have illegally taken Palestinian land? Why?
Clearly, Zogby’s point with this question is not to suggest the Ukrainians are wrong to engage in violence, but rather the opposite; that the palestinian Arabs are not wrong to engage in violence in the same way the Ukrainians aren’t. It is clear which side he is painting as the villains: the ‘big, bad Israelis shooting kids who were reacting to their land being illegally taken.’
And it is not as if this is his first time shilling for terrorism. It is clear from previous tweets that he sees throwing stones and Molotov cocktails as legitimate resistance:
But more than that – even Hamas rockets and other terror attacks:
He cannot bring himself to use the word “terror” to describe these things, instead opting for the scare quotes:
And it is clear how he views bloodthirsty arch terrorist Yasser Arafat:
He also claims ‘Shirley Temper’ Ahed Tamimi is a proponent of “non-violent resistance”:
Yet she is quite the slapper of soldiers and supports more lethal forms of terrorism.
And it is not just palestinian Arab terrorism against Israelis to which he gives his seal of approval:
So James, claim you advocate “non-violent resistance” and wear peace hats all you like.
You are absolutely full of it.
