“Anti-Zionist-Not-Antisemite” Cassandra Lee Taha Feeling the Heat

Last month, I posted about Cassandra Lee Taha, an Israel-hater very active on social media (especially Tik Tok) who try as she might, could not completely avoid revealing her inner antisemite.

It seems she is feeling the heat – she has launched a GoFundMe to help “pay to remove the smear campaign.”

I completely reject the allegation that I smeared her. Everything I wrote was true and based on her very own words, as well as the accepted definitions of antisemitism and simple logic. She is being disingenuous when she alleges she was targeted simply for advocating for palestinian Arabs – she appeared on my radar when she flew into antisemitism territory.*

She claims she has been targeted at work. I personally have not done so (I did not even reveal where she works) and cannot speak for others, but I am not sure why she would be worried if she merely advocates for palestinian Arabs. If anything, that is likely to be looked at as a positive thing, especially in progressive work spaces. I would suggest if she is truly worried, perhaps she subconsciously realizes her posts do actually go into antisemitism territory.

Note how she also claims that we conflate criticism of Israel with antisemitism (I don’t), the impact of which “has been devastating to ordinary people, whose jobs, safety and families have been put in danger for being falsely associated with the views of the KKK, Neo-Nazis and white supremacists.” Yet she literally associates “Zionists” with Nazis:

and keeps calling “Zionism” a “racist, Right-wing ideology.” Using her own logic, this is puts in danger the “jobs, safety and families” of Zionists (aka the vast majority of Jews and those who support us).

I am also confused by this:

Your donation will go to fighting the smear campaign against Engineer Leeh. Any proceeds will be donated to other Pro-Palestinian activists who are being targeted and smeared online.

So which is it? Are donations going to fight the supposed “smear campaign” against her or are the donations going to “other Pro-Palestinian activists who are being targeted”? And how would the donations be used? To buy better lighting equipment or a new kaffiyeh?

Perhaps instead of schnorring for money, Taha could – I dunno – desist from antisemitic posts?

*as a general rule, I do not expose people for merely being “Palestine advocates.” It is when they support terrorism and/or disseminate actual antisemitism that I am likely to dedicate a post to them.
