Singer Jessie J An Unlikely Celebrity Voice in Condemning Jerusalem Terror Attack

Saturday night’s palestinian Arab terror attack in Jerusalem, which left eight people injured (two seriously), made relatively few waves. Certainly those all too ready to condemn Israel when we as so much sneeze (like The Squad Hamas caucus in Congress) were strangely silent, and certainly almost all celebrities had nothing to say about it.

One of the exceptions to this was an unlikely one: English singer Jessie J, who posted the following on her Instagram stories:

Jessie has 11.8 million followers on Instagram, so this is significant.

Jessie’s post surprised me, since I had not noticed any pro-Israel proclivities of hers in the past. Sure, she has wished Jewish students a Happy Chanukah:

but that is not the same thing.

Jessie’s boyfriend is Danish-Israeli basketball player Chanan Safir Colman, so I am guessing this is related.

Be that as it may, any celebrity going out on a limb and expressing such support is rare and highly appreciated.
