Roger Waters 2018 Interview With Russian Website Reveals More Lies and Hypocrisy

We already know that Roger Waters is a liar, hypocrite and, of course, antisemite. But it never hurts to find more evidence of this.

Which is what I have done in discovering this from a 2018 interview Waters had with a Russian website.

— That is, it was not difficult for you to make a decision to go to Russia?

– Of course not. People write to me saying that you are always trying to dissuade artists from performing in Israel, while you yourself are going to Russia. The Russians, without any prior agreement, asked me by the thousands to pay attention to how things are going inside the country. The Palestinians have also asked me to help draw the world’s attention to their problems. And I answer these requests.

Here, Waters claims the reason he has no problem going to Russia while he boycotts Israel is because thousands of Russians ask him to come and see the problems in the country. As if there are not thousands of Israelis critical of the government who have likely done the same. And using his own logic, he should be treating Russia the same as he treats Israel, since people living there are asking for help.

But more than that, this contradicts his previous answers to a similar question, including “I do not want to have a WWIII with the Russians!”

But there’s more.

This concerns the rights and freedoms of citizens. You have problems with this. But this is your country, and you yourself must decide what to do. If you love Putin, then please, it’s none of my business! If you don’t like him, that’s none of my business either! It is up to you to choose the government you want.

Again, note the double standard. Where is this “This is your country, it’s none of my business” when it comes to Israel and her citizen’s rights to elect who they want?

The interview naturally also contains some more embarrassing shilling for Russia and Putin.

I know that Sevastopol is very important for Russia and Russians. There are many contracts and papers, according to which Russia has all the rights to this city. The change of power in Ukraine, planned by Washington, simply provoked Moscow to take further action.

But what I want to say is that right now the US political establishment does not understand the true meaning of the agreements. They constantly violate them and claim that they can do whatever they want. This position just scares me, because someday it will just kill us all.

The demonization of Russia, the Russian people and Putin is sad.

Waters does say one correct thing in the interview, though:

I’m not very strong in geopolitics.
