As you have almost certainly already heard, Queen Elizabeth II passed away. May her memory be a blessing.
Social media has been flooded with condolences and expressions of sadness over the death of the dignified and beloved stateswoman, who to me at least felt like an aunt I never met, and a constant in this crazy world.
Some have thought it a good time to bring up the fact she never visited Israel (it isn’t), but I would argue she was a friend of the Jewish people and her not visiting was more to do with the Britain’s Foreign Office banning official royal visits to Israel.
Be that as it may, among the flood of sadness were those who gleefully celebrate the monarch’s death. And prominent among these people are those who hate the Jewish state. Because, let’s face it, they are evil people who just love making everything about bashing Israel.
