Mark Ruffalo’s Telling Response to Rising Antisemitism
In the wake of increased antisemitism coming from celebrities like Kanye West and Kyrie Irving, actor and self-appointed ‘human rights activist’ Mark Ruffalo has shown his solidarity with the Jewish people while condemning outright the Jew hatred we are seeing.
Just kidding.
He has responded by deciding now is a great time to show he opposes the IHRA working definition of antisemitism.
Ruffalo’s tweet links to an article on Al Jazeera, a news outlet that has proven itself time and again to be antisemitic.
The article features a photo of a Jew from the nutty Neturei Karta sect, which has itself proven itself to be antisemitic.
The professor quoted in both the article and Ruffalo’s tweet, Alon Confino, has himself made antisemitic statements, including comparing the so-called Nakba to the Holocaust, and claiming the City of David Foundation seeks to “Judaize” the area of the City of David. He has also rejected a resolution equating BDS with antisemitism.
This is not Ruffalo’s first foray into telling Jews what is and what isn’t antisemitism. He has also shown himself to be quite the antisemite himself, whether it be by siding with Hamas, showing he thinks Israelis are deserving of less rights than palestinian Arabs, declaring support for an antisemite or two, signing lie-riddled letters alongside infamous antisemites, quoting antisemites, and falsely accused Israel of genocide.
So yeah Mark, you are an antisemite.
