Buoyed by its successful Kanye West diss tweet, the state of Israel Twitter account tweeted this Thanksgiving greeting to all celebrating:
They were clearly referring to Shabbat dinner, which Jews have every Friday night.
But try telling that an Israel-hater by the name of Brian Tochterman Jr, who completely missed the point while making an outright turkey goose of himself:
It is hard to wrap my head around what he was thinking. Even if he was trying to be funny by suggesting we have a “Thanksgiving” every week (which characterizing Thanksgiving as a celebration of genocide), surely he could have Googled what most Israelis (i.e. Jews) do every Friday night and stayed a mile away from sounding antisemitic.
I think we all feel like his cat looks like it feels.
I am just hoping he is not actually Jewish, which would make his tweet even sadder than it already is.
