Rep. Ilhan Omar recently appeared on CNN with Reps. Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell, to discuss House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s efforts to remove them from congressional committees.
When the topic of her antisemitic comments came up, Omar simply lied.
Besides the examples provided in the video, it is hard to believe that she was never aware of the antisemitic trope of Jews and money. And if she was telling the truth about not knowing this (which I don’t believe for a second), that is in itself highly problematic. Do we really want politicians who are that naïve and unworldly, especially on the House Foreign Affairs Committee?
Also, does this sound like someone genuinely contrite after having her antisemitic comments pointed out?
Ilhan, quit the lying. Heck, just quit.
