Remember how this former journalist and current Israel-hater claimed we only help when there are humanitarian disasters in the world in order to improve our international image?

He is not alone with this sick thought.
Keep this in mind as we continue to actually save lives in Turkey with little fanfare:

Earlier today, the combined @Israel rescue team, @IDF Home Front Command, Search and Rescue Units, and our team located and rescued a 7-year-old girl from a collapsed building in #Kahramanmaras after locating her via thermal cameras from our drone. #Turkey #TurkeyQuake pic.twitter.com/FLBshPW6zm

Albeit with much gratitude:
The girl's grandfather came over to thank our EMT and drone operator Yossi Amar for finding the girl and helping to get her out safely from the rubble and told this story.#TurkeySyriaEarthquake #Kahramanmaras #EmergencyResponse pic.twitter.com/cmZbEvo4HV

And I suppose the Chief Rabbi just had PR on his mind when he told the Israeli delegation to Turkey that in any place where is any chance whatsoever of rescuing a survivor from beneath the rubble, rescue teams should do whatever they can to save lives, even if it means breaking the Jewish Sabbath.
Meanwhile, the “Palestinian urgent intervention and response team” has arrived in Syria and Turkey. No-one is claiming they are doing it for the PR points – even though all I have seen so far is a slickly-produced video with dramatic music and hero camera angles trumpeting their arrival:
