Reem Townsend, Target of Dehumanizing Comments, Has History of Her Own Dehumanizing Comments

ABC7 Chicago News reports on bigoted comments directed against DuPage County Trustee Reem Townsend, who identifies as a palestinian-American.

I condemn such comments, especially if they were directed against her just because she is a Muslim or descendant of palestinian Arabs.

But in the interest of fairness, Reem Townsend herself should be condemned for her own comments, such as where she falsely accused Israel of genocide – a modern-day blood libel – putting her at odds even with antisemite Mark Ruffalo:

and where she retweeted a blood libel from infamous Jew-hater and terror-supporter Mohammed El-Kurd:

and where she retweeted a tweet from terror-supporter Marc Lamont Hill, in which he objected to condemning Hamas for firing rockets at innocent Israeli civilians:

Now let’s go back to something Townsend said in the interview above:

“I felt like this was an attack on being Palestinian,” she said. “It was like, demonizing me and like, as if he’s trying to make me not like I’m a real person.”

This is exactly how she has been treating Israeli Jews.

So yes, by all means condemn the deplorable comments she has faced, as I do. But feel free to condemn her even more deplorable comments.
