Back in the 80s and early 90s, English reggae and pop band UB40 were hot stuff. They had more than 50 singles in the UK Singles Chart, and has also achieved considerable international success, selling more than 70 million records worldwide.
Why is UB40 on my mind? Well, their drummer Jimmy Brown has revealed himself (in comments to a pro-Roger Waters post) to be an unhinged Israel-hater who blames Israel for all palestinian Arab deaths, alleging we deliberately murder their civilians:
He also supports palestinian Arab terrorism as legitimate resistance (not that I am surprised), while making Holocaust comparisons:
and suggests Israel advocates are somehow “paid”:
Believing the worst of the world’s only Jewish state + comparing us to the Nazis + supporting those trying to murder us sounds to me Jimmy might have a problem with Jews. Just don’t call him antisemitic – because he knows best.
